Holiday Hoodie Project

Nancy Hicks has initiated a wonderful gifting project for this holiday season – providing hoodies to the Center for Youth in Rochester. The Center for Youth has celebrated fifty years of service. They continue to place the greatest value on the health and safety of our young people, our community and their supporters.

The Holiday Hoodie Project will benefit the young people ages 14-19 in our community who are on the streets, find themselves without families or support.

Our goal is to collect and donate 20 hoodies.

Sweatshirts do not need to be wrapped. We recommend larger sizes and solid colors. You can find a wide selection on Amazon or in local department stores. The last day to contribute will be December 16 at our Christmas Gathering party. This is completely voluntary and your gifts will be deeply appreciated.

Festive Christmas Gathering

Saturday, December 16, 5:30 p.m. — We invite you to join our church family and friends for a break from the holiday busy-ness at our
Ugly Christmas Sweater and Caroling by the Garden Tree Party!

Please stop by for a slice of pizza and cheer. There will be vegan options available as well. Share a song and a slice, and spend a little time with good people! Let’s see who can wear the best sweater! Dress appropriately for the weather.

There’s a sign-up sheet in the lobby. Envelopes are there too if anyone wishes to give a love offering toward the cost of the pizza. See Julie Woehrlen or any member of the Events team with questions.
