Honoring St. Francis of Assisi
October 3 @ 10:00 am
Dogs and even some cats and birds are encouraged to bring their humans and friends to church in celebration of a day honoring St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and the environment.
We will have our normal Sunday service at 10 a.m., completing our series on the eight-step Master Mind prayer process. Step seven is gratitude and eight is about living in harmony. It is appropriate to give thanks and commit to live in harmony with our Mother earth and all of her creatures.
Following Jerry’s postlude, Nat and Suzanne will do an individual blessing for each pet.
If you want to bring a friendly pet, you are invited to do so with these instructions.
• Bring only one pet
• Pet must be on a leash or in a carrier at all times.
• Pet must be served by this process; that is, if you think they would be afraid, just bring a picture of them.
• We are asking you sit on the window side of the sanctuary. After entering the front door, turn right, go through the classroom and down the hall to the sanctuary.
