Tuesdays, September 18-November 6, 7-8:30 p.m. — Else Vella and Jerry Peters facilitate a powerful weekly class based on Marshall Rosenberg’s book, Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life.
“Violent” communication refers to ways of speaking and acting, either intentionally or unintentionally, that can damage relationships. Examples of violent communication styles include blaming, finger pointing, discriminating, speaking without listening, criticizing, name-calling, reacting in anger, being defensive or judging who’s “good/bad” or what’s “right/wrong” with people.
These classes will provide an opportunity to learn the theory behind Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and allow participants to practice ways to avoid violent communication. Come learn how to use a win-win communication style that fosters authenticity that can enhance all of your relationships.
Books will be available for sale ($12) but are not required.
