Qigong is an energy healing practice from traditional Chinese medicine developed more than 5,000 years ago. The term Qi means energy that flows through the entire person – body, mind, and spirit. Qigong’s gentle movements stretch and strengthen muscles, improve balance and flexibility, and reduce inflammation in joints. This movement helps to improve the circulation of blood and oxygen throughout the body and helps to release toxins and deep-seated emotions. The sessions will include slow, controlled, gentle movements that are easy to learn, with emphasis on awareness and deep breathing. The sessions will end with 15-20 minutes of silence.
Please bring a yoga mat if you have one and wear comfortable clothing.
