Sunday School

As of July 7,  the Sunday School program is postponed. Please watch for future announcements.

We have expanded our Sunday School. We now have a Nursery, an Elementary program and a Uniteen (middle school) program. We welcome new teachers who would like to join our Ministry. This is a wonderful opportunity for those who would enjoy being with our beautiful, amazing children. Contact us for information.

We are a joyful Sunday School that encourages children to be as God wants them to be. At our Sunday School, we work to help children understand about God and about Unity. We believe that children need expressive activities to help them grow. Although Unity curricula are a basis for our lessons, the lessons are expanded through other activities. We also use storytelling and artistic activities to help the children understand their lessons.

Our spacious Sunday School is full of craft materials and many loving people to help the children. We work as one loving community. Although we have children of many ages, all of our children work as one family. Together we form a family of friends who assist each other in building relationships, friendships, and self-esteem. We particularly express the joy of the Lord through the children. On most Sundays, our lead teacher, Youth Ed Director Elizabeth (Liz) Santa Maria presents the lessons to provide continuity for the children.

Weekly classes for all children (infant to age 13) are offered at the church at 10 a.m., during the Sunday Service. These classes teach Unity principles in age-appropriate ways, using prayer, music, stories, Bible study, drama, and affirmations. If you would like to assist in a class some time, or demonstrate a skill that you have for the children, please contact our church office; we welcome new faces to give support to our children’s spiritual growth.

Unity Principles for Youth

  1. God is all good and active in everything, everywhere.
  2. I am naturally good because God’s Divinity is in me and everyone.
  3. I create my experiences by what I choose to think and what I feel and believe.
  4. Through affirmative prayer and meditation I connect with God and bring out the good in my life.
  5. I do and give my best by living the Truth I know. I make a difference
