Watercolors by Dianne Wilde

A new Art Gallery exhibit at Unity Church of Greater Rochester

Dianne Wilde was born and raised in Amsterdam, NY.  She attended SUC at Cortland, where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees. She then went on to teach in Denver, CO, and Niskayuna, NY for a total of four years. Dianne then qualified to earn her Tour Card on the LPGA Golf Tour, but unfortunately had to leave Tour competition due to a hand injury. Following that Dianne was one of the first ten women in the US to earn membership into the PGA of America in 1982. She has worked for the last 40+ years as a PGA Professional at both public and private facilities. Although retired, Dianne is still working as a Teaching Professional at Eagle Vale GC in Rochester.

Dianne has lived in Rochester since 1982 and spends her winters in Hobe Sound, Florida. It is there that she started doing watercolor painting two winters ago under the tutelage and encouragement of an experienced and accomplished artist, Ruth LaPrise. Dianne has discovered a whole new passion for painting and will continue to learn and grow.

We are thrilled to show her watercolor exhibit till the end of August. All are welcome to attend the Gala Opening Reception Friday, July 14, at 7 p.m. Dianne’s art will be on display every Sunday through August 27
